University of Vermont - Master of Accountancy

The Grossman School of Business gives students the ability to complete the academics required to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. This curriculum consists of 30 credit hours offering a variety of accounting courses and business electives to choose from to customize the program to specific accounting jobs. Graduates can also choose other certifications, like a Certified Management Accountant.

There is an accelerated and traditional version of the program that prospective students can choose from. All students are required to take a comprehensive exam to demonstrate proficiency in their studies when completing the capstone course. Online Master of Accounting Programs in Vermont

Champlain College

Based in Burlington, this online MBA is 100 percent available in a virtual setting and requires at least 36 credit hours to complete. Concentration options include Advanced Management, Information Security, and Supply Chain Management. This program is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education.

The MBA prepares students for a variety of positions in business management, including accountants, auditors, and consultants. Six additional credit hours may be needed to meet prerequisite requirements, and the Survey of Accounting for Managers and Managing Risk in Organizations courses will be waived if met. Examples of other courses that may be taken include Financial Decision Making for Management, Health Care Information Systems, and Managing Risk in IT Organizations.
