University of Arkansas - Master of Accountancy
The Sam M. Walton College of Business offers two versions of their MAcc program. The standard process takes 30 credit hours and can be completed in one year for students that have proper education in a business discipline. Students with a different background can still apply for the program if they have shown exemplary work in their field, but they will need an additional one or two semesters. Specializations to choose from include Audit, Industry, and Tax. Elective credits can be transferred into the program, but all accounting courses must be taken at the University of Arkansas.
Another path is the Integrated MAcc, which fuses the Bachelor's and Master's degree in accounting and students can complete this program in a span of five years with graduate courses beginning the senior year. They will also be guaranteed to meet the requirements to complete the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Admission requirements for the program include GMAT scores, the application with fee, updated resume for full-time students, official transcripts, an essay detailing long-term goals and how the program will help professionally, and three letters of recommendation.
Arkansas State University - Master of Accountancy
Students can pursue the MAcc program through the Neil Griffin College of Business. 30 credit hours are needed to fulfill the degree, with an additional 12 credit hours for those that do not have a background within business or accounting and need to complete foundational courses. Prerequisite topics include business finance, micro and macroeconomics, business law, business statistics, various levels of intermediate accounting, auditing, and individual income tax. None of these courses, if needed to be completed within the program, will count toward the graduate GPA.
The program will culminate with a capstone project, Seminar in Financial Accounting Theory, where students will complete a written assignment and present their findings. This course will need to passed with at least a B grade. Completing this program and holding a Bachelor's degree in the field of accounting will prepare graduates for the CPA exam. The accelerated version of the program is available to ASU undergraduates who can transfer over 12 credit hours with the following courses: Advanced Accounting and International Issue, Tax Accounting II, Governmental and Not-for-Profit Accounting, and Advanced Cost.

University of Central Arkansas – Master of Accountancy
The MAcc program offered by UCA will prepare students for the CPA exam, and they now offer a hybrid version of their curriculum that totals 10 courses (three credit hours each). Required courses will meet for one 75-minute session each week and the maximum amount of meetings will be twice per week. Some electives can be taken completely online. Students that do not have the equivalent credit from an undergraduate course will need to take the following: Governmental/Non-Profit Organizations, Advanced Accounting, and Advanced Income Tax. The rest of the courses will be completed with electives.
In order to get into the program, prospective students should hold a Bachelor’s degree within the field of accounting and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7 or higher. GPA can also be at 3.0 within the last 60 hours of coursework, or they have an accounting GPA of 2.7 or higher. They must submit GMAT or GRE scores, but this can be waived if one of the following is met: completing and passed the CPA exam, having a 3.2 GPA or higher, or they already hold a Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Southern Arkansas University – Master of Business Administration
Students can take the MBA program through the Rankin College of Business on campus or online. The program is able to provide plenty of flexibility with night courses as well, but not all core and elective courses will have these options, and some will be determined based on demand.

In order to get into the program, students will need to have prerequisites in the subjects of business finance, accounting principles, microeconomics, organization theory, and statistics.
