At this time, there are two universities that receive this designation, and neither have the accounting-specific accreditation also offered by the AACSB.
Black Hills State University - Master of Business Administration
Students can pursue the MBA program at the University Center in Rapid City with an emphasis in Applied Management. Overall, 30 credit hours are needed to satisfy curriculum requirements.
Other benefits when taking this program include having smaller courses for a more intimate experience between students and faculty members. The purpose of the Applied Management emphasis is giving students the ability to use what they have learned in real-world situations and meet the latest business challenges. Graduates have found employment as financial advisors, human resource managers, and small business owners.
The program can be completed in two years with two courses in each of the fall and spring semesters, and an additional hybrid course during the summer. Students have the ability to start during any of these semesters. Up to nine credit hours can be utilized for transfer students and must be approved by the program director.
Students must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and some work experience in a business profession. The degree is either in the fields of business administration or management with at least a 3.0 GPA, or a non-related degree must include 18 courses that match business prerequisites.
